THERE IS BEAUTY IN YOUR SCARS

We all have scars either within us or on our outer bodies, emotionally or physically that can plague us for years or for life if we permit it.

For some, it's more of emotional scars from mistakes made, wrong decisions made or regrets made in the past. There are those who even feel ugly because they have scars on them.

These scars sometimes cause shame, disappointments or regrets to most of us whenever we see them but for every scar emotionally or physically. there is a story to tell

Heart breaks from failed relationships, rejection, betrayal and so on leave in us scars unforgettable that we never believed we could live through and survive but we did.

There are physical scars that may be through domestic or automobile accidents, that we thought would end our lives or that we won't overcome the terrible experience and fear of survival but nah, we lived through, overcame and conquered it all.

Irrespective of any scar you have, be it emotionally or physically, its an indication that you survived the horrible experience.

I have emotional and physical scars that tend to bring pains, regrets, shame or disappointment to me yet indicate God's loving kindness and mercies towards. If not for God where would I be and they birth testimonies that only God takes the glory.

The fact that I am alive and living my purpose on earth is enough reason to show gratitude to God. When I look at the physical or emotional scars, I remain thankful to God for keeping me alive through it all.

Scars are part of the narratives of our lives. They do not just tell the stories that led to the scars but also talk about the healing.

They show to us what we have lived through and overcame the challenge. They reveal how strong we are emotionally and physically but most of all God's mercies.

You see, these scars indicate God's mercies towards us. They reveal how God is merciful and loving towards us, seeing us through every step of the way.

Surviving the challenge and pains that led to the scars lets us know that there is a God who answers prayers and this, increases our faith and hope in God alone.

Jesus had scars too before He finally left the earth physically. He was betrayed (emotional scars), He was bruised and nailed to the cross (physical scars).

The scars of of Jesus tell the story of His crucifixion. They tell the ugliness and cruelty of man as well as reveal God's divinity to humanity showing His sacrificial love to mankind when Jesus was crucified to save mankind (Isaiah 53:4-5).

The beauty of the scars of Jesus is the indication of God's love for mankind. And it's these same scars that the disciples used to identify Jesus after His resurrection (John 20:20).

With every scar is a message from you to the world. Every scar we survived through is important and God wants to use them through us to reach out to people who probably are going through same challenge we went through.

Jesus had the power to come back alive without the scars but He left them because those scars on Him will always remind us of His crucifixion and God's love for us.

We most times find our purpose in life through the ugly experiences we go through in life and our scars carry those messages. I discovered my writing prowess in the midst of my pains and challenges.

Scars are healed wounds on our bodies, in our hearts and souls. They simply mean we survived. So stop feeling bad, disappointed or having regrets over the scars in your heart, soul or on your body but see them as God's love towards.

Don't hide your scars but reveal them as testimonies encouraging people who are going through rough challenges or feel bad about the scars they have.

Quote for the day - " The scars you share become lighthouses for other people who are headed to the same rocks you hit."
