Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has described Rev. Stephen Akinola as a great man of faith and Mentor to the Government of Rivers State.
The Deputy Governor stated this during the Adoration Thanksgiving Service/ 66th Birthday celebration of Rev. Stephen Akinola at the Redemption Ministries Headquarters, Eastern Bye-Pass, Port Harcourt on Sunday, 31st March, 2019.
According to her over the years Rev. Stephen Akinola has been a great father of faith and the disciple whom Jesus loves, noting that Rev. Akinola as the Pastor of Campus Daniels in the 80s led a lot of young people in the State to Christ.
“I remember how he goes to campuses to pull out our young men and women out of cults, evil practices, fornication and evil foundation. Many of them are standing today because of the prayers and intervention of Rev, Akinola” She stressed.
In his Sermon drawn from Isaiah 59:9, the Guest Preacher Pastor Edward Enenta who spoke on the theme “I Sought for a Man” said God is looking for a man filled with the spirit of God, a man of prayer that would stand in the gap for Nigeria.
He stressed that prayer is the live wire of Christianity, noting that as a Christian the day you stop praying is the day you start dying.
In his testimony, the General Overseer of Redemption Ministries, Rev. Stephen Akinola expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for healing him miraculously through Evang. Kolendo and also thanked other ministers of the gospel for their support and prayers.
