Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo says contrary to insinuations in some quarters that there is leadership crises in the Degema Local Government Area, there is no rift in the leadership.
The Deputy Governor stated this when the PDP Political Leader of the Local Government Area, Hon. Pleasant Braide led some leaders of the LGA to pay her an unscheduled visit at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
Dr. Banigo said the leadership of Degema Local Government Area is united and indivisible, noting that the leaders are working as a team to ensure that the people are not left out of the development train of Governor Wike.
While thanking the State Chief Executive, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for appointing Alabo Boma Dappa as the New CTC Chairman of Delga, Dr. Banigo advised the incoming Chairman to emulate Governor Wike’s developmental strides and carry the people in the grassroots along when sworn into office.
Also speaking, the Member Representing Degema Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly Hon. Farah Dagogo said they came to visit the Deputy Governor shortly after the screening of the CTC Chairman, as a demonstration of the fact that she is the mother of the LGA and they are all working as a team for the interest of the Degema Local Government Area and the State at large.
Earlier Hon. Pleasant Braide had informed the Deputy Governor that they were in her office to re assure her of their commitment and support to the ideals of the NEW Rivers Vision, stressing that come 2019 they would stand by the State Governor and herself.
The PDP Women Leader Hon. Ngo Bob-Manuel was also in attendance along side other stakeholders.
