Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry Banigo says while members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are busy churning out lies to discredit the Nyesom Ezenwo Wike led Administration in the State.
The Rivers State Government has continued to attract the world to its self for the right reasons and advised the APC to join forces with the State Governor to celebrate the State instead of criticizing the Government unnecessarily.
In a statement from the Government House in Port Harcourt, Dr. Banigo said the award of the hosting rights bythe United World Wrestling for the 2018 Senior, Junior and Cadet African Wrestling Championships in Port Harcourt, between 7th and 11th February, 2018 is a clear testimony of the fact that Rivers State is the preferred destination for International events.
According to the Deputy Governor, “the winning of the hosting rights of the competition reaffirms the fact that Rivers State is safe, and has facilities that are up to world standard. Having the capacity to host over 1000, athletes and officials across the globe is no mean feat, it will make the State the hub of sports tourism and also attract more businesses”.
She called on the opposition to join forces with the State Chief Executive as he continues to place Rivers State on the global map as a home of peace and development.
