Keeping fit isn't just all about doing physical exercises. Physical exercise is no doubt a great way in keeping our bodies in shape but are other ways as well that go hand in hand with exercise.
We often here health is wealth but not every one of knows it's literal meaning. What it simply means is that no matter the amount of money one has,he can't leave a healthy, happy and a fulfilled life if he doesn't take care of his health.
Health in the other hand encompasses our physical, psychological, mental and emotional well being. We need a balanced lifestyle to leave a healthy and a wealthy life. You mustn't live a complex life to achieve keep fit. There are little things we can do to achieve this.
Exercise is a must to keeping fit and staying healthy. Workouts, Jogging, aerobics and even a simple fifteen minutes walk help to regulate the heart.
In this 21st century every one seems to be in a hurry in meeting up with activities that put food on our tables that we tend to forget our physical health. Simple work outs such as planking, squats and push ups or crunching can be done at home and in the mornings before leaving the house. Morning exercises improves blood circulation, prevents laziness in the day, releases muscle tension, gives you a stronger body and mind as well as keep you in good shape.
Exercise helps in boosting the our overall health while keeping the flow of energy at optimal levels.
The next time you think of giving flimsy excuses of not having enough time or the right equipments, just remember that it is only the healthy that works to earn a living.
Your mental health is also very important in living a healthy life. Be positive and optimistic at all times rather than being pessimistic because of the environment you find yourself. Things aren't as bad as they seem. It just how we position our mind set.
Watching what goes into your system is a good start of keeping fit. The kind of food we eat and drinks we take determine how healthy our lives will be. We need to avoid foods high in calories as they lead to heart disease,weight gain and cholesterol. Too much intake if alcohol, smoking and carbonated drinks also take a toll on our health. They gradually destroy the liver, kidneys and lungs.
Make your meals balanced mixed with vegetables and protein. Also try to have a a good intake of fruits rich in fibre such as mangoes and avocado pear. These kind of fruits also help in loosing loosing weight as they help reduce unnecessary eating. Eat healthy to stay healthy.
Also try to reduce the amount of salt in your food. Too much intake of salt leads to high blood pressure, stroke and heart diseases I the future.
Try to always avoid late night eating. Late night meals can lead to obesity, indigestion and other health complication. Eating few hours before going to bed leads to healthy living.
Avoid sitting for long. Most of us are in offices where we sit almost all day. At intervals take a walk or stand for sometime.
Long hours of sitting slows down our metabolism and also weakens the muscles.
Take lots of water.
Water helps to flush the body system as well as make you look fresh. It has been observed that intake of water especially warm water in the morning helps the the body a lot as well as help in weight loss.
After a hectic day it is advisable to go to bed early enough. Eight hours sleep has been recommended as a good way of relaxing the mind and keeping the body healthy. The body needs enough rest to be revitalized for the next day's job.
Do not stress yourself about the workload of the next day thereby having less sleep. Less sleep results to lack of focus as well less productivity.
